SHAE GILLHAM AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING COMMITTMENT

During the 2016 season, we were very lucky this past year to see an outstanding example of commitment unfold before our eyes. Our 16u Gold team has been one of the top teams in the history of our organization for the past several years, and Shae Gillham has been an integral part of that team. Earlier in the year, Shae's father Gary took a job that would require the family to move from PA to Kentucky. Shae, brother Justin... and mom Tracy stayed behind to finish the school year at Norwin. But that's really when the story starts....

For the remainder of the summer, Shae and Tracy made the trek from Kentucky to various parts of Ohio, PA and this past weekend in Delaware to honor the commitment to the team for the travel season. Shae didn't miss a beat on the field handling the majority of the catching and continuing to be a beast at the plate. And Shae held up her share of the driving duties as well. Tracy was in the dugout as well continuing to fulfill her scorekeeping duties.

The team had another great summer, continuing to represent the organization by playing high quality softball and handling themselves with the class that has been accustomed to this group.

Shae and Tracy went the extra mile both literally and figuratively.

On behalf of the Pittsburgh Lady Roadrunners, we recognize Shae Gillham for outstanding commitment. And in recognition for this, each year we will honor one Roadrunner with the "Shae Gillham Outstanding Commitment Award" for one special Roadrunner that goes the extra mile to support their team.

Well done Shae and Tracy! We are proud of you and grateful to have had both of you in our organization
